The man in the ger came out to meet this stranger bowling excitedly across the plains towards him. He opened his arms in a welcoming gesture and led me into the ger. The ger was more spacious inside than its appearance had suggested. It wasn’t huge, but it was spacious. How did the Mongolians achieve such a feeling of space inside a ger?
