I met Brian F Quinn in Mat Molloys Bar. He is Senior Tourism Officer for Ireland West Tourism. He said, "Don't worry about the accommodation in Mayo. I will arrange it". The next day I stayed in Downhill Inn (what a positive name for a cyclist!) in Ballina thanks to Brian's arrangement. Surprisingly, Managing Director, John Raftery, came down to guide me around Ballina in his jeep. One of the place he took me was Kilcullen's Seaweed Baths. Every morning they take fresh seaweed from the sea and fill the bath with them. It's meant to be quite good for your body, said Christine, the owner of KSB. As I didn't have enough time to enjoy the bath, she gave me a seaweed loation. She also gave me a telephone number for "much more accurate weather forecast than TV ones"
